Wabtec Now Hiring for a Welder (Direct Hire)
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Pay Rate: $34.10 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM (4-day work week)

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Graduate of a welding program preferred
Experience Requirements
  • Graduate of a welding program with at least 1 year of welding experience OR
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial, construction, or related professional welding experience
  • Proficiency in FCAW, SMAW, and GMAW welding processes
  • Experience using wire sizes ranging from .035 to 3/32 solid and flux-cored wire
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions
  • Basic computer skills required
Job Duties
  • Perform welding using FCAW, SMAW, and GMAW processes
  • Complete welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing specifications
  • Assemble and weld components according to quality standards
  • Inspect work throughout the production process
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and assigned tools
  • Follow all quality, safety, and production procedures
  • Participate as an in-process inspector to ensure product quality
  • Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and safe work practices
Physical Capabilities
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Work from ladders and elevated platforms up to 20 feet high
  • Perform repetitive bending, reaching, climbing, and standing throughout the shift
  • Wear required PPE including respirators, welding jackets, gloves, welding hoods, hearing protection, and eye protection
  • Work in an industrial manufacturing environment while maintaining safe work practices
