Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and job travelers
- Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and product quality
- Deburring, machining, manufacturing, or metal-finishing experience preferred
- Aerospace or precision-machining experience is a plus
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds occasionally
- Good vision for detailed inspections
- Ability to wear required safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
Job Duties
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections
- Finish machined components using files, grinders, rotary tools, and abrasive wheels
- Follow drawings and work instructions
- Inspect parts for defects and dimensional accuracy
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and magnification equipment
- Verify finished parts meet required specifications
- Report nonconforming materials
- Maintain tools in good working condition
- Complete job travelers and production documentation
- Dispose of scrap materials properly
- Maintain a clean and safe workstation
- Meet production and quality goals
- Assist with additional production tasks
