Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous metal grinding, polishing, deburring, or metal fabrication experience preferred
  • Experience using hand grinders, pneumatic tools, belt sanders, and polishing equipment
  • Ability to read tape measures and basic manufacturing drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and metal particles
  • Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots

Job Duties

  • Grind, sand, deburr, and polish metal parts using hand grinders, belt sanders, buffers, and other finishing equipment
  • Remove burrs, weld splatter, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from fabricated components
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production instructions
  • Prepare metal surfaces for painting, powder coating, or assembly
  • Safely operate grinders, polishers, and other hand and power tools
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment and report mechanical issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow production schedules and company quality standards
  • Assist other departments as needed to support manufacturing operations
