Requirements:

• Valid license
• DOT Medical Card
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR
• 1 year CDL experience (within the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (within the past 3 years)
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within the past 5 years)

What You’ll Do:

• Move trailers to and from dock doors, yard locations, and staging areas
• Maintain yard organization by correctly spotting trailers and containers
• Execute trailer moves based on priorities and assignments in the Yard Management System
• Transport trailers safely using switcher trucks/yard tractors

As a Yard Spotter you will safely operate vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment while following established routes, schedules, and safety regulations. You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, communicate with dispatch or customers as needed, and help ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time while maintaining a professional appearance and commitment to customer service.

A Yard Spotter combines safe vehicle operation with dependable customer service to support the movement of goods between businesses, distribution centers, and customers. The position requires responsibility, attention to detail, and strong decision-making skills.
