Now hiring: Human Resources Representative
Location: Lafayette, LA
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Shift: 8 AM – 5 PM | Monday-Friday

What You Bring to the Table (Requirements)

  • Previous experience in Human Resources, administrative support, customer service, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly with data entry and record management
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms preferred; UKG or ADP experience is highly desirable
  • Understanding of HR processes, onboarding procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, take initiative, and adapt quickly to changing business needs
  • Comfortable leading presentations, orientations, and employee training sessions
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment

What You’ll be Doing (Job Duties)

  • Prepare and process new hire offer letters and employee status changes
  • Manage onboarding activities, including background checks, I-9 verification, application processing, employment verifications, and reference checks
  • Conduct new hire orientations both in person and through virtual platforms
  • Maintain and track employee records and HR data using Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems
  • Lead and facilitate employee training sessions in person, through Zoom, and via Microsoft Teams
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns via phone and email while providing professional support and conflict resolution
  • Coordinate employee separations and terminations
  • Arrange travel accommodations for employees attending out-of-state training programs
  • Assist HR leadership with administrative projects and day-to-day departmental support
