Position Title: Japanese Bilingual Accounting Associate

Location: Carson, CA

Classification: Full-Time / Non-Exempt

Summary

This position is with a
professional organization dedicated to financial integrity and operational
excellence. The Accounting Specialist plays a vital role in supporting daily
accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash application,
and reconciliations. They are responsible for maintaining accurate financial
records, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring seamless
communication between internal departments and external partners.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process and record daily cash receipts, checks,
    ACH, and wire transactions; assist with petty cash tracking and
    reconciliation.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices, maintain
    account records, and monitor aging reports to follow up on outstanding
    balances.
  • Support accounts payable processing, address
    vendor inquiries, and provide payment support.
  • Maintain and reconcile company credit card
    transactions and receipts; reconcile intercompany transactions as
    assigned.
  • Support monthly account reconciliations, general
    ledger activities, and month-end closing procedures.
  • Assist with fixed asset tracking, reconciliation,
    and the maintenance of supporting schedules.
  • Provide accounting-related assistance to sales
    and operational teams while performing ad hoc administrative duties to
    ensure department efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to understand and execute business
    tasks smoothly in both English and Japanese (bilingual fluency is
    not strictly required, but the ability to comprehend and process business
    information in both languages is essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional
    organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet
    strict deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or
    equivalent professional work experience (preferred).
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (preferred).
  • Prior experience in accounts receivable, accounts
    payable, and general accounting support (preferred).
