CNC Machinist Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 8+ years of experience in manual machining, including engine lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and surface grinders
• Experience holding tight tolerances (± .001)
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, dial indicators)
• Solid math skills, including working with fractions and decimals
• Experience machining carbon steel, stainless steel, coated components, and composite materials
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
• Proven track record of good attendance and safe work practices

How You’ll Spend Your Day
