Pay: $10 per hour

Schedule: Part-time, 22.5 – 25 hours per week. Availability needed until 6 PM on weekdays (with occasional later hours, but rarely), and some Saturdays from 9 AM – 1 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Youth Services Librarian in providing services and programs for youth and parents, both in the library and at off-site events.
• Plan and present programs for children, young adults, and special-interest groups.
• Select and maintain library materials, provide readers’ advisory and reference services.
• Promote the library through presentations, tours, and outreach to schools and community organizations.
• Create promotional displays and materials, compile data for reports, and maintain library equipment.

Qualifications:

• One year of related experience, especially in roles like teaching, daycare work, or similar positions.
• Comfortable working with children.
