Staffmark can connect you with a premier manufacturer of woven and non-woven fabrics that is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Needle Loom Weaver in Belton, SC. With over 90 years of excellence, our client continues to lead in the production of high-quality, custom-designed fabrics for a variety of industries.
Schedule: 12am – 8am, Monday – Friday
Train on 1st shift 8am – 4pm for several weeks
Pay: $17.46/hr.
About the Role:
As a Needle Loom Weaver, you will play a vital role in crafting intricate and high-quality woven fabrics. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that our products meet the exacting standards our customers have come to expect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup: Prepare the needle loom by loading yarn, adjusting tension, and threading needles to meet pattern specifications.
- Pattern Execution: Operate the loom to produce intricate designs according to pre-programmed patterns.
- Weaving Operations: Monitor the weaving process closely, promptly identifying and correcting thread breaks or inconsistencies.
- Quality Control: Inspect woven fabric regularly for defects such as unevenness, color variations, or damage, ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Troubleshooting: Address minor machine malfunctions, including needle jams and thread misalignment, and report major issues to maintenance teams.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine cleaning and lubrication of the needle loom to maintain optimal performance.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate production logs, document machine settings, and track yarn usage.
Qualifications:
- Must have a solid work history of at least 2 years at one company is required in a manufacturing environment with machine operation.
- Experience operating needle loom or similar weaving equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot and maintain machinery.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
