Welcome to the team

Congratulations on being selected to work at Flex!

Staffmark and Flex have a strategic relationship, known as an Onsite Program. This relationship provides us the opportunity to work more closely with our employees on assignment, as well as with our customers. We are counting on you to represent us well! Remember that you are an employee of Staffmark and should comply with policies and procedures of both Staffmark and Flex.

It is important to remember that all personnel issues, questions and/or concerns must be discussed directly and promptly with your Staffmark Onsite Manager. We are here to support and assist you with anything you need.

How to Check-In

Once on site at Building H there will be a security stand to check in for your temporary badge. Security will require an ID or Drivers licence.

Orientation Information

Please park at the North Parking lot and head into building H when you arrive. Orientation check in starts at 8:30am. We will be going to security to take your photo for your permanent badge and another photo for facial recognition for your timecard. You will be receiving a locker tag that goes over your shift, who your supervisor is, and your employee number. Once you receive your badge after lunch, you will be able to enter the building at any time. Please make sure to bring a lunch for your first day, there is a cafeteria where you can purchase food for your break.

Shifts | Workhours | Workdays

Flex has multiple shifts and certain ones are only available per customer needs. Once you accept a role and shift, you would need to remain in the position for 6 months before we can make any transfers.

  • 1st shift | 7:00am – 3:30pm
  • 2nd shift | 3:00pm-11:30pm | 10% Shift Differential
  • 3rd shift | 11:00pm – 7:30am | 12.5% Shift Differential
  • 6:00am-6:00pm | SUN/MON/TUES/WED- SUN/MON/TUES (E)
  • 6:00am-6:00pm | THU/FRI/SAT- WED/THU/FRI/SAT (G)
  • 6:00pm-6:00am | WED/THU/FRI/SAT – WED/THU/FRI (H) | 20% Shift Differential
  • 6:00pm-6:00am | SUN/MON/TUES- SUN/MON/TUES/SAT (F) | 15% Shift Differential

Employee Policies

Time Clock + Pay

Time Clock Procedures

You will be using a timeclock to track your hours. Clock in daily near your designated clock in station near your work area. Failure to clock in and out at the timeclock can affect your pay. Please contact Corey Vos if you have any issues with the timeclocks.

Pay Rates
  • Assembler | Base Pay – 17/hr | After 90 days pay increase to 18.50/hr
  • Machine Operator | Base Pay – 17/hr | After 90 days pay increase to 18.50/hr
  • Material Handler | Base Pay – 18.50/hr | No pay increase after 90 days
Pay Schedule
  • Paydays are every Friday.
  • Pay period is from Monday to Sunday and is paid the following Friday.
  • The 2 BEST ways to receive your pay check:
    • Direct Deposit
    • Skylight Pay Card

Attendance & Shifts

Clock in and out for scheduled shift times (3 min -/+ grace period)

After 90 days all attendance disciplinary wipes clean.

Disciplinary Guidelines

The following point totals and conduct will result in the following disciplinary action:

  • 1st calll off/ 2 tardies = Verbal Warning
    2nd call off / 1 tardy = First Written Warning
  • 3rd call off / 1 tardy= Final Warning
  • 4th call off / 1 tardy = End of Assignment
  • 3 consecutive No Call, No Shows Employee separated for job abandonment.

Lunch / Other Policies

Lunch

Lunches are 35 minutes. Refrigerators, microwaves, vending area and storage shelves are provided. Please do your part to keep the area clean.

Dress Code

Our goal is to KEEP YOU SAFE, but you also want to make a good impression!

  • Employee must wear shoes that are completely enclosed – Steel Toes are not required.
  • Sweatshirts, hoodies and beanies are allowed but ears must be visible at all times due to safety reasons.
  • Dress comfortable, but not to the extent of pajamas
  • Appropriate PPE is required to be worn at all times.
