Job Summary
We are currently hiring an Employee Relations Specialist for our Human Resources team, and our ideal candidate will possess a passion for impacting lives and our community. The primary purpose of this position is to respond to concerns, conduct thorough investigations, conflict resolution, analyze investigation results and recommend determinations while ensuring those outcomes are meeting all federal, state, and local laws.
Essential Duties
Your Day-to-Day Leadership includes Activities such as these:
- Serves the company as an advocate for individual employees by knowing and understanding issues, facilitating problem solving to address concerns, and ensures positive employee relations by balancing both company and employee perspectives.
- Lead the investigation process by interviewing involved parties and reviewing written statements and interviews and providing guidance to complete a full and thorough investigation, including providing the final determination as well as disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
- Partner with field and corporate HR to provide HR support to internal/temporary employees.
- Address employee relations related issues such as work complaints, harassment/discrimination allegations, accommodation requests and possible employment violations.
- Interview employees and discuss personnel, employee relations, wage and hour, and work-related issues that adversely affect morale, health, and productivity; as well as interview employees to gather more details.
- Provide guidance to employees regarding company policy, procedures, regulations, and need for compliance.
- Proactively reduces Employee Relations related risk through risk assessments and actionable feedback.
- Develops effective relationships with the business to promote and strengthen employee relations.
- Maintains strict confidentiality throughout conversations and investigations. Manage highly confidential human resources information and exercise sound judgment in handling or working with confidential data and situations within the employee case management system.

Be detail-oriented with strong documentation skills, thoroughness, and demonstrated strengths in listening, fact-finding, and exploratory skills and can uncover additional information. Dispute resolution, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel). The ability to resolve problems and provide meaningful solutions or alternatives and an ability to effectively prioritize in a multi-task environment and meet time-sensitive deadlines. A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management and one to two years of practical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
