Injection Molding Set Up Technician – 12-Hour Rotating Night | Urbana, OH

Take your mechanical and troubleshooting skills to the next level in a fast-paced, automation-driven manufacturing environment. Our partner company in Urbana, OH is seeking a Set Up Technician with mold and production line expertise to join their team full-time.

This is more than a setup role—it’s a hands-on technical position where your problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude make a real impact on production efficiency and quality.

Schedule & Employment Type

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mold changes, insert swaps, and complete production line setups
  • Troubleshoot and repair molds, hot runners, and parts handling systems
  • Execute preventative maintenance on production equipment and automation
  • Maintain tool areas, spare parts inventory, and accurate equipment documentation
  • Support operators during machine start-ups, blocked parts, and changeovers

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience a plus
  • Previous mold changing/setup experience required
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; basic electrical knowledge helpful
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on concrete production floors
  • Strong attention to detail, positive attitude, and ability to work independently
