Staffmark is looking for a Technical Product Specialist to join a local distribution center in Houston, TX. Pay: $25 – $29 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday to Friday

The Technical Product Specialist will work closely with Encon’s Sales, Production, and Engineering teams to provide customers with accurate product pricing and technical information. You will be a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, managing various technical, commercial, and price-related inquiries.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Communicate with customers to address technical, commercial, and pricing inquiries.
• Manage bid requests, product specifications, and define bid parameters.
• Participate in the quoting process, order entry, and post-sale support.
• Offer “value-engineered” alternative products to reduce costs and improve timelines.
• Maintain communication with sales teams regarding the status of quotations.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Lead project review meetings and manage delivery schedules for Encon products.
• Build relationships with customers and provide technical support as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years in a technical or manufacturing role; recent STEM graduates are welcome.
• Preferably in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering; relevant certifications or training are also considered.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), strong technical aptitude, customer service focus, excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs and perform tasks requiring mobility and vision.
