Staffmark is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to join a dynamic team in Houston, TX. If you’re looking for an opportunity to advance your career while operating equipment in a fast-paced warehouse setting, this is the role for you!

Pay: $17 – $20 per hour

Shift: 1st or 2nd Shift (varied times)

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for filling orders based on customer instructions, ensuring the correct size, grade, quantity, and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Following pick ticket instructions and verifying details such as size, grade, and quantity.
• Handling and inspecting fragile items for damage.
• Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Completing required paperwork, customer labels, and equipment inspection reports.
• Operating forklifts, shrink fast guns, and packaging machines safely and responsibly.
• Ensuring timely order fulfillment and meeting deadlines.
• Adhering to company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Using basic measuring tools like tape measures and micrometers accurately.
• Communicating effectively and following safety protocols at all times.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of warehouse, shop hand, or shipping/receiving experience.
• Ability to lift, stand, and climb, with the ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
• Strong team player who works well with others.
• Ability to use basic math skills and measuring devices such as tape measures and micrometers.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.
• Physical agility, mobility, and dexterity required for this role.
