Job Title: Accounting & General Administration Specialist  Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Position Summary: A global leading manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative individual to join their team as an Accounting & GA Assistant. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in accounting and contribute to the smooth operation of our company.  The Accounting & GA Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the fundamental financial and administrative processes of the company. This role requires a high level of accuracy, a proactive approach to process improvement, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate is a team player who is eager to learn and grow with the organization. While prior experience is not required, a basic understanding of accounting principles and a strong desire to develop expertise in this area are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable: •          Prepare and issue invoices using ERP systems. •          Manage accounts receivable, including monitoring outstanding payments and customer collections. •          Liaise with clients to resolve billing inquiries and ensure timely payments. •          Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments. •          Maintain vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies.
Financial Record Keeping: •          Record financial transactions accurately and efficiently. •          Reconcile bank accounts and other financial statements. •          Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. •          Maintain organized and accurate financial records. •          Monitor bank account status and reconcile bank statements.
General Administration: •          Provide wide ranges of administrative support, including document management, filing, and interdepartmental coordination. •          Develop and maintain organized filing systems (both physical and digital) to ensure easy retrieval of information. •          Act as a key point of contact for internal teams, vendors, and clients, facilitating communication and resolving operational issues. •          Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. •          Identify and recommend improvements to existing accounting and administrative processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. •          Actively participate in discussions and contribute to the development of strategies for future operational improvements. •          Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies within accounting and administrative processes.

Qualifications & Skills: •          Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, Accounting or a related field. •          Prior experience in Accounting or Office Administration is preferred; open to considering candidates with a strong desire to learn and grow within our organization. •          Demonstrated a global mindset and ability to work in the diverse workplace or collaborate with teams overseas. •          Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures. •          Proficiency in using ERP systems (or willingness to learn). •          Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).    •          Strong communication and interpersonal skills. •          Ability to work independently and as part of a team. •          Proactive and problem-solving attitude.    •          A bright, positive personality and a strong work ethic. •          Motivation to grow within the organization. •          Japanese language is a plus.

Pay range minimum: $ 50,000.00
