Japanese Bilingual Senior Accountant, Outsourcing Services – Hybrid  Work Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid: 2 days in-person, 3 days remote) Category: Full-Time, Exempt Work Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm (Monday – Friday)  Visa Sponsorship: Available for qualified candidates

Overview: This role is at a dynamic and growing firm that provides comprehensive accounting and financial services to a diverse clientele. They are committed to delivering exceptional service and building strong client relationships.  The Senior Accountant/Senior Consultant will be responsible for managing various accounting and financial tasks for assigned clients, including bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and potentially attestation or tax services. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but not are Limited to: •             Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery.    •             Proactively identify and address client needs, providing timely and accurate information. •             Manage client expectations and project timelines, ensuring deadlines are consistently met. •             Occasional onsite work at client locations, as needed, to build rapport and provide direct support. •             Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. •             Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. •             Perform month-end and year-end close procedures with meticulous attention to detail. •             Assist with financial statement reviews and compilations (attestation services). •             Prepare and review corporate, individual, and miscellaneous tax returns and filings. •             Research and interpret tax laws and regulations, providing informed guidance to clients. •             Provide expert consultation to clients on accounting and tax-related matters, offering strategic recommendations. •             Assist clients in establishing and optimizing accounting and tax process flows, enhancing efficiency and accuracy. •             Respond to client inquiries with clarity and precision, drawing upon intermediate-level expertise in accounting and tax. •             Identify and implement process improvements within client operations and internal workflows. •             Assist with the implementation of new accounting software and systems. •             Collaborate closely with Managers and Senior Managers, providing support and insights. •             Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications: •             Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. •             Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting; or 5 years of experience in private accounting. •             Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. •             Proficiency in accounting ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). •             Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. •             Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •             Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.    •             Willingness to work overtime during peak periods (January-April and month-end). •             Ability to travel to client sites within the local area, as needed. •             Japanese and English bilingual skills (advanced to business).

Pay range minimum: $ 70,000.00
Pay range maximum: $ 120,000.00
The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
