Staffmark is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity to design, analyze, and maintain mechanical systems and components. Salary: $106,000 per year
1st Shift Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday-Friday
What Are We Looking For?
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a relevant field.
- Project management skills, including organization, time management, and budget planning.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (optional but beneficial).
- Lean Six Sigma Training – Yellow Belt minimum (can be obtained after hire).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration and clear dialogue.
- Leadership and team management abilities to guide and develop teams effectively.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production techniques to optimize efficiency.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
- Understanding of quality control methodologies to maintain high product standards.
- Proficiency with mechanical and electrical hand tools for hands-on troubleshooting and repairs.
- Technical proficiency with MS Office, CAD software, and SolidWorks for design and documentation.
- High level of integrity, strong work ethic, and pride in craftsmanship.
Daily Tasks
- Create engineering drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Perform functional analyses and engineering calculations.
- Develop test plans for product testing.
- Manage teams and oversee projects.
- Prepare technical reports, data sheets, and other engineering drawings.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, staff, and other teams.
- Guide junior engineers.
