Job Description:
Join our client, a leading engineering firm dedicated to delivering innovative solutions across various sectors, including civil, structural, environmental, and transportation engineering. We are seeking a Field Surveyor who is ready to elevate their career with our leading client!
Pay rate: $16 – $40/hr.
Schedule: 8am – 5pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction layout surveys for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
- Operate and maintain survey instruments, including total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors.
- Collect, record, and verify field data for use in drafting and mapping.
- Perform construction staking and layout based on design plans and specifications.
- Research survey records and historical data to support accurate boundary determinations.
- Collaborate with crew members and survey managers to ensure accurate and efficient fieldwork.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain survey equipment and vehicles in proper working condition.
- Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and clients regarding project needs and site conditions.
Qualifications:
- Two years of relevant experience.
- Experience in land surveying, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
- Proficient in using survey instruments like GPS, robotic total stations, and levels.
- Strong understanding of survey principles, field procedures, and construction layout techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and survey plans with attention to detail.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS software, or relevant certifications (CST, LSIT).
