Job Description:
Staffmark is hiring a skilled CNC Machine Operator/Programmer in Riverside, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to join a team that values expertise and offers the chance to make a real impact.
Pay: $27/hr
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
As a CNC Machine Operator, you’ll set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and manual machines to produce parts. You’ll follow safety standards, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure efficient, high-quality output. Collaboration with engineers and supervisors will ensure proper tooling and adherence to specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Study blueprints and specifications to determine machining requirements
- Measure, mark, and secure materials for machining
- Set up tools, fixtures, and machinery, adjusting controls as needed
- Inspect parts for quality and adjust as necessary
- Collaborate with engineers to solve machining issues
- Maintain and troubleshoot machinery
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (100 lbs with assistance)
- Use forklifts and hand trucks to move materials
- Operate hand tools and assembly equipment
Required Experience and Skills:
- 2+ years of CNC manufacturing experience, including programming and troubleshooting
- Experience with low-volume production on manual machines (mills, lathes)
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software (Inventor, Autodesk, Fusion)
- Strong knowledge of machining methods, GD&T, and blueprint reading
- Experience with precision measuring tools
- Familiarity with plastics, metals, and cast/mold materials
- Knowledge of ASME, ISO, and quality control programs
- High school diploma or GED required, college coursework or trade school preferred
