Experienced Maintenance Technician – Direct Hire, Lasting Impact!
Staffmark is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician in Ruston, LA. We have partnered with a one-stop shop for the design, fabrication, and installation of pneumatic systems and related equipment for wood handling in the wood products industry. We are searching for new talent with electrical/plumbing certifications and prior manufacturing work experience in an industrial setting to join this passionate team. If you are mechanically inclined with exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, this Direct Hire position might be what you are looking for!
Pay: $25 – $30 per hour (Based on experience)
Shift Details: 10 -12-hour shifts working a rotating schedule
Essential Functions:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and conduct repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and costly repairs.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and inventory.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for special projects or facility changes.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Comply with safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications are a plus).
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, mechanic, or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving, analytical, and computer skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks (standing, climbing, bending) and lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
