Job Description:

Executive Director job details include:
Schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000/yr.
Responsibilities:
- Solicit feedback from individuals with developmental disabilities, families, and the community to address needs and share successes.
- Advocate for resolving identified needs through direct services or community resources.
- Empower the board of directors with information on philosophy, operations, and future planning, and carry out their directives.
- Ensure staff are well-trained, supported, and empowered through clear communication and opportunities for responsible action.
- Maintain quality controls to assess program effectiveness and address areas needing improvement.
- Secure adequate funding for training and support needs through grants and strategic financial planning.
- Collaborate with community groups, advocacy organizations, and professional networks on developmental disability issues.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, policies, and organizational standards.
- Protect HIPAA information through secure electronic communication and proper device usage.
- Participate in agency-wide initiatives, including promotional efforts, and support the agency’s mission in various roles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field and at least five years of experience.
- Strong organizational management skills, balancing both big-picture strategy and detailed workflows.
- Ability to empower others by providing information and creating opportunities.
- Skilled in using financial reports for effective management and planning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, relating well to participants, families, staff, board members, community, and funding sources.
- Clear communication abilities, including reading complex material, writing efficiently, and articulating the agency’s philosophy convincingly.
