Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description:



Staffmark is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join a leading automotive parts manufacturer in South Charleston, OH. If you’re passionate about quality control and have experience in manufacturing, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to advance your career!

 

Shift: 1st shift, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday

 

Pay: $22.54 – $28.54 per hour, Plus OT as needed

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will support the Quality Assurance Manager and Assistant Manager by coordinating activities related to document control, new model projects, internal audits, ISO/TS certifications, supplier control for MP/NM, and other quality improvement initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage technical documents and interpretations.
  • Lead new model team activities, both internal and customer-related.
  • Maintain the document control system.
  • Evaluate change requests and assess applicability to the QMS.
  • Complete Quality Assurance reports for Management Review.
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement activities like NLOQ.
  • Assist with customer relations during New Model/MP.
  • Implement supplier audits (NM/MP), ISO audits, and data collection.
  • Interact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and government officials.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Continuously work to improve processes and procedures.
  • Promote a safe working environment for all associates.


Qualifications:

  • Preferably a two-year degree in a related vocational field. A four-year degree in a technical field with a business management minor is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience with ISO guidelines, control plans, FMEA, document control, team leadership, project management, print reading, and supplier control.
  • Strong skills in Word, Excel, database creation, blueprint reading, inspection tools, statistical techniques, and general knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a climate-controlled office and noisy plant areas, walk on concrete floors, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
