Staffmark is excited to announce an opportunity for a Logistics Clerk to join our team in Naperville, IL! As a Logistics Clerk, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring smooth communication between customers, drivers, and account managers, while helping to keep shipments on track and on time. We are looking for someone who is motivated, reliable, and ready to take on new challenges.
Pay Rate: $21-$22 per hour
Shift: 1st shift
Responsibilities:
- Maintain customer profile information and input loads from customer tenders into the system.
- Communicate with account managers about problem loads and the actions taken; update receivers and customers on the status of loads.
- Track daily pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring on-time arrival and proper condition of loads.
- Take check calls from drivers to confirm on-time deliveries; verify load data before marking loads as delivered for accounting.
- Investigate product discrepancies such as overages, shortages, and damages, and complete necessary documentation.
- Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments; approve or decline loads per account manager instructions.
- Provide clear, detailed directions to drivers for proper routing.
Qualifications:General knowledge of the transportation industry is required.
