Salary: Starting at $80,000 per year (Dependent on experience)
Schedule: Day Shift
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment, including molds and support machinery. You will perform mold changes, process adjustments, and color changes as required. Additionally, you will oversee product quality, ensuring that all outputs adhere to specifications and standards. Analyzing quality data, SPC information, and downtime will be crucial for driving improvements and optimizing KPIs. You will coordinate preventative maintenance efforts with the Maintenance Team and supervise and train the mold change team, documenting all training for employees. Managing mold and hot runner spare parts and maintaining the PM program will also be part of your role. You will be expected to promote continuous improvement by using tools such as SMED, 5S, and Kaizen, and ensure compliance with safety policies, GMP practices, and global food safety standards. Participation in plant safety processes and performing other duties as assigned by the manager will round out your responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in plastics technology or a similar technical field; relevant certification or education preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HDPE and PET.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Ability to work flexible hours and support all shifts.
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP, with strong communication and team-building skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing processes.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as sitting, climbing, standing, bending, crawling, and walking.
