Do you have previous experience in quality control in the electric industry? Staffmark is hiring an experienced Quality Control Technician for our client in Katy, TX. You will be responsible for visually inspecting all units to be tested (pre-power inspection) and performing production line acceptance testing using a combination of manual and automated test equipment. If you are detail-oriented and have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, this could be an exciting temp-to-hire opportunity for you!

Pay: $23-$28 per hour (Based on experience)

1st Shift Hours: 6 AM – 2 PM, Monday-Saturday

2nd Shift Hours: 2 PM – 10 PM, Monday-Saturday

Essential Functions:

• Perform visual inspections on all product lines.
• Complete production line acceptance testing including insulation tests and function tests.
• Troubleshoot and provide results in a timely fashion.
• Record test results and complete test reports, and paperwork per instructions/procedures.
• Report issues found on failed units.
• Assist with mechanical assembly tasks.

Requirements:

• 2 – 5 years experience in the electric industry (power electronics).
• Two-year technical degree in Applied Electrical Engineering or equivalent (college hours in engineering or comparable industry experience).
• Experience in operating standard test equipment including DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Power Analyzers, Isolation Testers, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Capable of lifting 25 lbs. regularly, and occasionally 40 lbs.
• Flexible availability and willingness to work overtime.
