Job Description:
Staffmark is excited to facilitate the direct hire of a dedicated FSQA Technician for a leading food manufacturer in Escondido, CA. We’re seeking passionate individuals who excel in food safety practices and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Salary: $49,920 to $56,160
Shift: Monday – Friday, with options of either 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM, based on your preference
As an FSQA Technician, you will monitor, verify, and validate food safety and product quality throughout the manufacturing process. You’ll communicate with Production, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Warehouse teams about food safety and quality issues, ensuring that Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) are maintained and that the quality of incoming raw materials is closely monitored. Your role includes performing packaging pre-approvals, quality and CCP checks, GMP checks, and analytical tests on finished products. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Standard Operating Processes (S.O.P.s), assist in new product runs and audits, and conduct environmental monitoring such as ATP and allergen swabs. Effective communication and collaboration with various departments are key aspects of this position.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years in a similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with strong math skills.
- Attention to detail, excellent attendance, and reliability.
- Ability to follow procedures, work at the speed of production, and complete reports accurately.
- Leadership skills with a commitment to enforcing Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Capability to work in confined spaces and varied climates.
- Standing for extended periods during shifts.
