Do you have at least five years of experience working in a senior buying role? Staffmark has an exciting direct-hire position available for you in Chino, CA, working as a Senior Purchasing Agent. The candidate selected will provide the materials needed for the success of the overall Scheduling and Supply Chain processes. Salary: $70K-$100K

1st Shift Hours: 8 am – 5 pm, Monday-Friday

Essential Functions: 

• Create and maintain a plan to execute customer requirements and stocking requirements that support company objectives (on-time delivery and lead time reduction).
• Maintain purchase master data with items master to support purchasing, planning, and inventory strategies. 
• Create and maintain purchasing metrics, KPIs, OKR’s PPV, supplier OTD, RTV turnaround, and reduction through quality improvements by the supplier. 
• Drives data and inventory control accuracy at the BOM, router, inventory, and item master levels to improve material availability.
• Manage purchase order schedules in MRP to meet production schedules, forecasts, and engineering commitments.
• Provide weekly updates to the production team for schedule commitments to ensure customer expectations are being met/exceeded and to prevent workflow stoppages.
• Oversee coordination of responses and reporting on all regulatory compliance requirements.

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of previous purchasing experience in a manufacturing, machining, and assembly environment.
• Must be familiar with MRP/ERP systems and AS400.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal with pressure from a fast-paced, dynamic, daily production schedule.
• Strategic thinker with strong planning/tactical skills, sense of urgency, focus on measurable results, ability to execute the plan, and the ability to successfully overcome exceptions.
• Must work well on a team with other managers, engineers, team leads, and lower-level employees.
