Location: Berea, KY
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Monday – Friday | 10:30 PM – 6 AM

The Press Operator works as part of a two-person team operating tandem or transfer presses to manufacture steel components. This position involves loading and unloading parts, operating press controls, monitoring production quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work area.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

  • Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment.
  • Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
Job Duties
  • Operate tandem or transfer presses with a team member to produce steel parts
  • Load steel materials into the press for production
  • Activate press controls and monitor machine operation
  • Remove finished parts from the press and place them into designated bins
  • Inspect parts for quality and accuracy during production
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and production standards
  • Assist with material handling and production support as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
  • Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Press Operator.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
