Requirements:
- At least two years of recent welding experience; four years required for Welder II consideration
- MIG welding experience required
- Combination pipe-welding experience highly preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
- Knowledge of fit-up, machine settings, and welding procedure specifications
- Ability to use tape measures, levels, and basic welding math
- Valid driver’s license
- Must live in or near Katy, TX
- Availability for overtime and possible transfer to 2nd shift
- Formal welding training preferred; equivalent experience considered
Job Duties:
- Perform MIG, TIG, or stick welding based on qualifications
- Grind, cut, tack, fit, and prepare components
- Assemble and install fabricated components
- Inspect welds for quality and specification compliance
- Set up and maintain welding equipment
- Complete timecards and job documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and production requirements

What You Will DoAs a Welder you will prepare materials, set up welding equipment, perform MIG welding operations, inspect completed welds, read blueprints, verify measurements, and help fabricate metal components according to engineering specifications. You will maintain welding equipment, follow quality standards, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations while producing consistent, high-quality work.
A Welder supports fabrication operations through skilled MIG welding, accurate material preparation, and quality-focused workmanship. This role requires technical ability, precision, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
The Welder works with fabrication equipment, welding tools, and engineering drawings to manufacture durable metal components while maintaining established quality standards. Dependable performance contributes directly to production success.
