Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Previous grill cook experience required.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a cafeteria, restaurant, or food service setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety practices, and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a hot kitchen environment.
  • Ability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook burgers, sandwiches, grilled entrees, breakfast items, and other menu offerings according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate grills, flat-top grills, fryers, ovens, and other commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Lead daily grill station operations and ensure timely meal preparation during busy service periods.
  • Monitor food quality, appearance, and portion control standards.
  • Assist with training and mentoring new kitchen staff.
  • Maintain proper food temperatures and follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of products that need to be ordered.
  • Assist with food preparation, stocking, and kitchen organization.
  • Ensure workstations remain clean, sanitized, and organized throughout each shift.
  • Support catering events and special campus functions as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to customer requests.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including equipment cleaning and kitchen security.
