Congratulations on being selected to work at L'Oreal! 

Staffmark and L’Oreal have a strategic relationship, known as an Onsite Program. This relationship provides us the opportunity to work more closely with our employees on assignment, as well as with our customers. We are counting on you to represent us well! Remember that you are an employee of Staffmark and should comply with policies and procedures of both Staffmark and L’Oreal.

It is important to remember that all personnel issues, questions and/or concerns must be discussed directly and promptly with your Staffmark Onsite Manager. We are here to support and assist you with anything you need.

How to Check-In

Check in at the Visitor’s Center in front of the L’Oréal building. Security will direct you to the break room and our onsite team will guide you from there. See map below for details.

Orientation Information

Schedule: Orientation is 12:30pm-4pm. Please arrive by 12:15pm.

Agenda: Classroom

Quiz Requirement: Passing score of a quiz on L’Oréal policies and procedures is required to continue your assignment.

  • Photo ID – Picture will be taken
  • Writing materials for note-takers
  • Any medically necessary items

Frequently Asked Questions

The employee portal! Go to www.employeeworkplace.com and log in using your email. Reset your password if you forget it. If the website doesn’t work on your phone, try a computer, or call our help line (855) 801-8451.

Let your L’Oréal shift supervisor know which days you are needing to take off. They will put it on the digital calendar once approved, and Makenize will see it and mark attendance accordingly. You will be given 8 approve days within the first year of your assignment. You can take whole days OR half days!

All you need to do is text Makenize and say “I need an emergency day today.” You will not get a point for being out. You are given 2 ER days every year. They will renew on the anniversary of your hire date.

You can contact Makenize by text or in office to find out where you stand on points. 8 points is the maximum. Going over 8 will result in your assignment ending.

Time Clock + Pay

Time Clock Procedures

Clock in and out with the last 5 digits of your Social Security number.

  • Do not clock in more than 7 minutes prior to your shift.
  • Being 1 minute late is considered tardy.
  • You will also clock in and out on a L’Oreal clock using a badge you will be given on your first day

 

Early Departure: If you need to leave before the end of your shift, please notify your supervisor.

Pay Schedule
  • Paydays are every Friday.
    Pay period is from Monday to Sunday and is paid the following Friday.
    You have 2 ways to receive your paycheck:
  • Direct Deposit
  • Skylight Pay Card

Attendance & Shifts

Strictly adhere to scheduled shifts.

Completing all scheduled shifts IN FULL equals 40 hours per average work week.

Overtime is available as needed, paid at time and a half for hours worked after 40 hours in a week.

ATTENDANCE MONITORING
  • Attendance and tardiness are tracked using a point system.
  • Your assignment will be terminated at 8 points.
  • Point incidents include:
    • No Call/No Show: 2 points per day.
    • Absent with notice: 1 point per day.
    • Arriving late or leaving early: 0.5 points.
  • Accumulating 2 points within your first 30 days is considered excessive and may lead to assignment termination.

Lunch / other Policies

8 hour shift employees receive 2-10 minute breaks per shift.

12 hour shift employees receive 3-10 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch per shift.

No other smoke breaks etc are provided and will be considered unauthorized.

Be sure to be back at your work area on time.

Break Room is equipped with:

  • Vending area- open 24/7
  • Cafeteria is open 7:45am – 1:00pm
  • Refrigerators
  • Microwaves
  • Ice/Water Machine
  • Coffee/Hot Chocolate Machine

Dress Code

Our goal is to KEEP YOU SAFE, but you also want to make a good impression!

Footwear: Steel or composite toe shoes are mandatory for all jobs.

Acceptable Attire

  • Long pants/jeans – all skin on legs must be covered in all manufacturing production areas
  • T-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts
  • All production employees will wear hair nets. Facial hair nets are required for beards or mustaches. (both are provided)

 

Unacceptable Attire

  • Midriff or low cut shirts – anything revealing is not appropriate for work
  • Baggy or ripped jeans
    Hoodies or hooded jackets
  • Offensive language or graphics
  • No spaghetti straps or tank tops (no visible undergarments)

Jewelry Policy

No jewelry is permitted below the neck. No exceptions.

Facial Jewelry and Earrings: Stud earrings and facial jewelry are permitted but must be covered with tape or a band-aid. (if wearing a mask piercings must still be covered with tape or a band-aid)
