Position Overview

Warehouse Associate
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Load/Unload merchandise onto conveyors
    and/or slot to pallet or box.
  • Check, verify and audit merchandise.
  • Identify, separate, label and palletize product.
  • Move merchandise from conveyor to trailer.
  • Check merchandise to ensure shipment is
    accurate and merchandise is not damaged.
  • Load merchandise carefully and onto proper trailer.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Repetitively lift, bend and twist throughout the
    duration of your shift.

*Environment:

  •  Fast Paced
  • Non-Climate Controlled

Please Note:
Those who will work in Mods A, B, C, D
that are 4 levels and will rotate mods
and levels monthly.

Orientation Information

Day 1 Reporting Instructions:

  • Report to the Front Main Entrance
  • Badge will be provided *Losing your badge will result in a $5 fee

Introduction to Dollar Tree manager Nick will be coming by to check on you throughout your first day and first week. Lockers available upon request from your Dollar Tree manager. Locks are provided by Dollar Tree and must be kept on the locker at all times!

  • 1st week

Employee Policies

Time Clock + Pay

Time Clock Procedures

The last 4 digits of your SSN will be your unique pin.

You will be required to clock in/out 4 x’s per day:

  • Start of Shift
  • In/Out for Lunch
  • End of Shift

Please Note:

  • Do not clock in more than 3 minutes prior to your scheduled shift start
  • Clock out within 3 minutes from the end of your shift
  • Do NOT clock in/out for anyone outside of yourself. This will result in immediate termination!

IMPORTANT: Missed punches affect the accuracy of your check. If you miss a punch, please notify your supervisor and Staffmark immediately, so we can correct this.

Pay RATE
  • 1st Shift: $18.00/hr
  • All other shifts: $19.50/hr

Overtime is paid after 40 hours of work each week at a rate of time anda half.
*OT MUST be confirmed and approved

Pay Schedule
  • Paydays are every Friday.
  • Pay period is from Monday to Sunday and is paid the following Friday.
  • You have 2 ways to receive your paycheck:
    • Direct Deposit
    • Skylight Pay Card
  •  

Attendance & Shifts

We depend upon YOU to be:

  • On-time
  • Every scheduled day
  • Full duration of shift
  • Work scheduled over time

 

Any call out’s within the first 2 weeks of your assignment will result in corrective action leading up to termination.

Attendance is tracked on a point system:

Point System Guidelines

  • 1 point: Late up to 2 hours of your shift or Leaving Early up to 3 times
  • 1 point: Absent (full day)
  • 1 points: Unapproved Leave Early

 
*4 or more points will result in a Corrective Action, leading up to termination.

INCASE YOU ARE LATE OR ABSENT

If you are going to be absent, you are required to call in 30 minutes prior to
your shift start to both Staffmark and Dollar Tree:

  • Please clearly state:
    First and Last name | Phone Number | Reason for Absence or Tardy
REQUESTING TIME OFF

Pre-Approved Absences may be requested with a minimum of 24 hours to
both Staffmark and your Dollar Tree manager


Pre-Approved Absence Definitions are:

  • Medical
  • Court
  • Military
  • Jury Duty
  • Bereavement

Lunch / Other Policies

Lunch is 30 minutes (unpaid).

You may leave campus, although it is not recommended.

Market Place, vending machines, microwaves, and refrigerators are available.

 

Break Policies
Breaks: 2, 15-minutes (must not leave the premise)

Lunch: 30-minutes (unpaid) Avoid disruption to production and be sure to return to your work area timely!

Break Facilities Contain:

  • Microwaves
  • Refrigerators
  • Market Place offering hot/cold items
  • Vending Machines

Designated Smoking Areas are OUTSIDE and clearly marked

Please clean up break area after use! Don’t forget any leftovers!

 

Electronic Policies

All Work Areas are Electronic Free Zones!
This includes:

  • Cell Phones
  • Head Phones
  • Air-Pods
  • Tablet Devices (iPad, etc.)
  • Chargers
  • Radios

 

Cell Phone use is allowed in break rooms and picnic areas outside

Emergency calls should be directed to the Staffmark team.

Dress Code

What to Wear:

  • Long pants such as jeans, cargo or athleisure (no holes, frays)
  • Shorts may be worn – MUST be no higher than 2” from the knee
  • Pants/Jeans must be worn at or above the waist
  • T-shirts, polo shirts, button ups – MUST have sleeves
  • No offensive wording, images, political or drug related
  • Close toe/heel shoe’s
  • Jackets/Coats must be fitted

 

What NOT to Wear:

  • Dangly Jewelry
  • No Hoods may be worn
  • No long strings
  • No Sleeveless tops, low cut tops or tops that reveal the midriff
  • No clothing with holes or tears
  • No Oversized clothing or jackets/coats
  • No undergarments showing

Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

  • Be sure to wear required PPE
  • All injuries must be reported to the Staffmark office immediately regardless of the severity.
  • No ‘horseplay’ is allowed.
  • Employees must not operate, tamper with, or attempt to use any equipmentunless Staffmark assigns them such duties.
  • Ask for assistance when lifting an object weighing over 40 lbs.
